The Cowichan 4-H Horse Club meets once monthly either virtually or in person to discuss upcoming events.
Members are encouraged to participate in public speaking, demonstrations, educational display boards, and judging.
Throughout the year lesson days and trail rides are often planned for members to attend with their horses.
During the summer, members get to spend one week camping at the local fairgrounds with their horse. During this time daily lessons are planned, as well as activities and demonstrations for the members throughout the day. In the past some of these demonstrations have included: How to braid a horses mane, safe trailering techniques, how to properly clean tack, and other essential ways to care for your horse.
The year is completed with an awards evening where members are recognized for their hard work and participation throughout the year.
